Introducing Breakaway Techniques Training Anger, confrontation and aggression in the workplace are on the increase. There were over 60,000 physical assaults on NHS workers reported in 2004/05. One employee in five has been threatened with physical violence*. Employers have a legal duty to protect their employees from incidents of aggressive behaviour. Breakaway Techniques training will teach workers a set of physical techniques to maintain their safety in an aggressive situation, whilst also protecting their client. It is ideal for people who work in an environment which places them at risk of assault from members of the public during the course of their employment. The training also promotes an increased awareness of personal protection, which is valuable in the workplace as well as in daily life.
