ParkHill is an NHS organisation formed in October 1992 through the merger of the internal audit departments of Parkside and Hillingdon Health Authorities. 2006

ParkHill launched its integrated Health and Safety Risk Management Service in response to customer demand.

2005

The launch of HFMA ParkHill Placements, our joint venture with the HFMA. This is a national service to provide senior finance interims across the whole of the NHS.

ParkHill’s Hi-Tech Forensic unit is established to deal specifically with the increasing work load in IT fraud, using state-of-the-art software to ensure best use of client resources.

2004

The commencement of a dedicated Local Security Management and Personal Safety Training Service which now has over 30 clients and is growing rapidly. Since 2004, we have trained nearly 6,000 NHS staff in personal safety skills.

2001

ParkHill’s Interim Executive Service begins to provide directors and senior managers in finance and IT across the South East of England.

2000

Parkhill establishes a Counter Fraud Service to deliver the Local Counter Fraud Service function required under the Secretary of State’s Directions. We now have over 40 clients within Counter Fraud and an unrivalled reputation for quality of service.

1999

ParkHill becomes an NHS Consortium with eleven of our existing clients being members. We are now hosted by www.imperial.nhs.uk

1997

ParkHill gains BSI accreditation, which we continue to hold, ensuring that our clients receive a consistently high quality of service from every part of the organisation.

1995

Our specialist Computer Audit service begins.

1994

We provide our first set of generic Financial Procedures.

1993

Our first non-audit service begins in the form of Consultancy Services.

Ivan Doncaster FCCA—Managing Director

Ivan has been Managing Director of ParkHill since its inception. He has 26 years experience of NHS finance, the last 15 of which have been spent in internal audit in a senior management capacity. Ivan has developed ParkHill’s Internal Audit service into one of the leading NHS Internal Audit agencies in the country, and instigated many new services to reflect the changes occurring within the NHS. He is also Head of Internal Audit for a number of NHS Trusts and three Foundation Trusts.

 

Nick Atkinson ACCA—Director of Audit Services

Nick is ACCA qualified with nine years experience as an auditor of both financial and operational systems. For the past two years, Nick has been the Chief Internal Auditor for Central London, with direct responsibility for managing the contracts and ensuring delivery as set out in the Audit plans. Nick’s experience extends beyond the core financial systems to advising on operational and risk issues.

Suki PooniDirector of Counter Fraud and Security Services

Suki joined ParkHill Audit Agency in July 2000. He has over 17 years experience in countering fraud and corruption in the private and public sector with 7 of those years as a Local Counter Fraud Specialist (LCFS) in the NHS.

 

Sheila Tunstall—Director of Consultancy

Sheila has worked in recruitment for over 15 years, and was previously Managing Director of Hewitson-Walker, a London based agency specialising in financial temps and interims.  She joined ParkHill in 2002. Prior to this, Sheila was instrumental in starting-up a medical sales agency where she was responsible for implementing systems and processes nationwide.
